Last month Casablancas was forced to cancel a North American tour with his new band The Voidz.
Julian Casablancas + The Voidz had been scheduled to play a series of live dates across the US and Canada during September and October, having released their debut album ‘Tyranny’ in September 2014.
However, the group axed the tour and explained the reasons why in a statement released online. Casablancas and his band cited their inability to “create more of an experience that would be inspiring to our fans” as the main reason behind the decision.
Meanwhile, Mac DeMarco recently discussed his new-found friendship with Julian Casablancas.
