[url=]THE STROKES have been confirmed to play their first scheduled dates of 2003 at the SUMMER SONIC FESTIVAL in Japan on August 2 and 3.

[url=]The Strokes manager Ryan Gentles had said the band would not be playing any live dates until the follow-up album to 2001’s ‘Is This It’ was completed.

The New York five-piece will be joining Blur and [url=]Travis at the two-day festival, which takes place in Tokyo and Osaka on August 2 and 3.

The band are currently in a New York studio with [url=]Radiohead producer, Nigel Godrich recording their second album.
