Three untitled songs thrill fans in Osaka

The band emerged from their New York studio where they have been finishing the follow-up to 2001 debut ‘Is This It’ to play two shows at the Summer Sonic festival. Last night’s show was in Osaka while tonight they move to Tokyo. It was the band’s first live show since winter 2002.

The three tracks were untitled and were not those that the band played during their last tour, according to the band’s official spokesperson.

The recording of the album is now complete. Following tonight’s show, The Strokes will return to New York to finish mixing and mastering.
