The Strokes bassist Nikolai Fraiture‘s new band Summer Moon have revealed their first song. Scroll down to listen now.

The group, a ‘supergroup’ of sorts featuring Au Revoir Simone‘s Erika Spring, The Like‘s Tennessee Thomas and guitarist Lewis Lazar, made their live debut in December 2014 and will play New York’s Bowery Ballroom with Father John Misty and Angel Olsen during August.

Previously previewing a song called ‘With You Tonight’, Summer Moon have now unveiled their first full track, with ‘Happenin’ (Blue Room Mix)’ streaming online. Listen below.

Fraiture’s Strokes bandmate Albert Hammond Jr recently announced a new solo album. Titled ‘Momentary Masters’, the record will be released on July 31. The guitarist has described the LP as featuring “the best songs I’ve written”.

The Strokes made their live return earlier this month (May 8) at Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Festival. See photos of the gig here.

The band are also set to play their first UK gig in five years when they headline the British Summer Time Festival in London’s Hyde Park on June 18.

The Strokes released their last album ‘Comedown Machine’ in 2013, with frontman Julian Casablancas recently revealing that the band are working on new music.
