Strokes, Linkin Park, Starsailor, Travis and Ryan Adams are being used to help guide the England football squad to glory in the 2002 WORLD CUP.

The artists latest albums are all part of a collection of ‘mood-enhancing’ entertainment products assembled by sports psychologists to help the squad deliver an ‘optimum performance’.

They are just a handful of 100 albums put together for the team and grouped into various categories with sub-titles including Get Fired Up, Chill Out, Have a Laugh, Escapism, Football Focus and Get Patriotic. Others to feature include Chemical Brothers’Come With Us’, Sum 41’s ‘All Killer No Filler’, So Solid Crew’s Mix Album’ and Dr Dre’s the Chronicle: The Best Of The Works‘.

The collection has been put together by Amazon.co.uk who said they have also included ‘The Godfather’ trilogy of movies, ‘Gladiator’, ‘Rocky’ and the ‘Lord Of The Rings’ books.

A spokesperson for Amazon told NME.COM this afternoon that a request had also come in for Posh Spice Victoria Beckham’s self-titled solo album. She could not confirm if the request had been made by Victoria’s husband, the Manchester United star and England captain David Beckham.
