The Strokes’ Fabrizio Moretti remixes Spoon track ‘Inside Out’ – listen

The drummer has taken on the band's 'They Want My Soul' album cut

Fabrizio Moretti, best known as the drummer in The Strokes, has remixed a track by Spoon.

The song, titled ‘Inside Out’, originally featured on Spoon’s most recent album ‘They Want My Soul’, which was released in August 2014. Moretti’s version, streaming below, will feature on a new remix EP from the band that also includes takes of the track by Dan Boeckner’s band Operators, Tycho and film composer Brian Reitzell.

Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas recently revealed that the band are working on new music and that he’s also collaborating with Savages’ Jehnny Beth.

“It’s the first time we’ve been exclusively writing since ‘Comedown Machine’,” Casablancas said in a recent interview. “We’re planning on recording stuff. I still think we could do cool things and I’ll do that.”

The Strokes released their last album ‘Comedown Machine’ in 2013, with the band set to play their first UK gig in five years when they headline the British Summer Time Festival in London’s Hyde Park on June 18.

Casablancas has also distanced himself from Glastonbury rumours, writing online last month: “For those kindly asking, nopes, no Glasto this year!”
