THE TEARS are to follow their successful SHOCKWAVES NME AWARDS show with a full UK tour.
The band formed by Brett Anderson and estranged Suede guitarist Bernard Butler played their first high-profile show at the London Astoria last week (February 16).
Now it’s been revealed they will hit the road in April, around the time the release of their debut LP is anticipated.
The shows are at:
Cambridge Junction (April 18)
Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall (20)
Portsmouth Pyramid Centre (22)
Liverpool Carling Academy (23)
Newcastle University (24)
London Shepherds Bush Empire (May 23)

Speaking exclusively to NME.COM last week, Anderson also confirmed that his reunion with Butler would be long-term: “We’re already talking about the second album; we were talking about it the other day. It’s not gonna be safe in any way, it’s gonna be pretty spectacular.”
He added: “I’m mainly aware of not letting people down. It’s always been the way me and Bernard work best together, we’ve always challenged each other. Bernard writes something great and I try and write something great to it and the same on stage. With Suede, one of the problems I had with it was that I almost had too much control, and towards the end I didn’t feel like I was being challenged. It’s really important for someone to keep pushing you all the time, and Bernard does that.”
