Phew! No wonder Matt Johnson always looks so miserable...
THE THE wind up their year 2000 leg of their three-year world tour, with a special show at the LONDON ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL on Sunday (December 10).
The group, which now consists of frontman and singer Matt Johnson and Eric Schermerhorn on guitars, Spencer Campbell on bass and Earl Harvin on drums, will be joined by two special guests, PJ Harvey collaborator John Parrish and Tom Macrae. Other special guests are still to be announced.
The The released their first album of original material for seven years, ‘Naked Self’ in February this year through Nothing records.
Their world tour, which is about to enter its third year, has been turbulent this year, with Australian leg being thrown into disarray after the promoter claimed that the Olympic Games had impacted adversely on the economy and scrapped their Autumn tour. The band are planning to reschedule the dates and others in Japan, which were also affected, next year.
