SO MUCH FOR THE MAINLAND

Just when you thought the season was over...

THE THRILLS swapped NEW JERSEY for JERSEY yesterday (September 4) as they headlined the island’s annual festival.

Justifying their stateside success, they entertained over 4,000 people in the largest festival ever held on the channel island. The line-up was completed by Razorlight, Delays, The Open and The Subways.

Pulling easily the biggest crowd of the night, the Dubliners settled down early into ’Big Sur’ before playing a set that drew heavily from debut ‘So Much For The City’ and introduced songs from forthcoming second album ‘Let’s Bottle Bohemia’.

Razorlight continued their triumphant run, their confidence winning the crowd with new single ‘Vice’, while the biggest cheer of the evening was reserved for ‘Golden Touch’.

Meanwhile, fans that could not make it to Jersey could see them perform the hit on ITV1’s ‘Parkinson’ talk show, complete with gospel choir and standing ovation from fellow guest, film star Tom Cruise.

The Jersey crowd had been warmed up by Delays, while a selection of local bands providing the community spirit, with punk-funkers Velofax and punksters Bothered Face making the biggest splash.
