Of the event, Evolution Festival promoter Jim Mawdsley has said: “We have been working damned hard over the last few months to put together the strongest, most varied line up yet. As usual we are proud to have such a strong mix of today’s heavy weights and future stars.”

Last year’s event saw Dizzee Rascal return from a lengthy sabbatical to play the festival. Through the pouring rain, the rapper played a greatest hits set, with ‘Sirens’, ‘Just A Rascal’ and ‘Fix Up, Look Sharp’ all making an appearance.
