The View: ‘T In The Park will be our biggest ever gig’

Band expected to preview new songs during their Main Stage set

The View are predicting their T In The Park set this weekend (July 11) will be their biggest ever gig – and they’re going to use it to premiere a batch of new songs.

The band are currently working on their third album, and want their home-from-home to be the first place to hear what they’ve been up to.

“We’re going to play a few new songs but I can’t tell you what they are because we want to surprise people,” Kyle Falconer told NME. “It’s going to be great to see what a wee reaction we get though. I’m really looking forward to seeing people’s faces.”

The Dundee band, who recently wrapped up recording sessions for their third album, are finally playing the Main Stage, having packed out the King Tut’s Wah Wah Tent in recent years – and even with the upgrade they’re not sure they will have enough space.

“It should be the biggest crowd that we’ve ever played to, eh?” suggested the singer. “Have the T crowd been the most supportive over the years? Definitely yes, they’ve always been the best crowd for us without a doubt.”
