The View announce UK tour, confirm fifth album sessions with Albert Hammond Jr.

Band will hit the road in March after working on new album with Strokes guitarist

The View have announced new tour dates and confirmed that they are working on a new album with Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes.

The band’s fifth studio album is being recorded with Hammond Jr and Gus Oberg with a Spring 2015 release scheduled by label Cooking Vinyl. The album will be The View’s first since ‘Cheeky For A Reason’ in 2012.

Speaking about the album’s progress and sound, frontman Kyle Falconer says: “I would say that this is the closest sounding to our debut album ‘Hats Off To The Buskers’. We’ve kept this album quite raw whilst recording so that we will have the ability to play it live as well, if not better, as it sounds on the record.”
