Tickets for February’s annual NME AWARD SHOWS spectacular at LONDON ASTORIA are selling at their fastest rate yet, with some of the hottest shows already sold out in record time.
Fans have rushed so quickly to buy tickets to see Vines, Coral, The Datsuns andAFI, that the gigs have now sold out, showing incredible support for the new wave of rock ‘n’ roll that has exploded in the UK’s music scene over the past 12 months.
NME editor Conor McNicholas said: “These NME Awards shows for 2003 have sold out faster than anyone can remember. It’s proof that our amazing line-ups featuring massive established names and the hottest new bands are totally in tune with what young music fans want, and they’re responding by buying tickets in their thousands.
“These shows prove that the NME is on top form and it’s great to get to be kick starting the musical agenda for 2003.”
