The Weeknd and Little Mix join artists performing at Brit Awards

Nominations for this year's Brits announced tonight (January 14)

The Weeknd and Little Mix have been added to the list of artists performing at the Brit Awards.

Jess Glynne and James Bay also join a line-up which previously included Coldplay, Justin Bieber and Adele. The ceremony takes place at The O2 in London on February 24.

The nominations for this year’s awards are announced tonight (January 14). Meanwhile, organisers confirmed this week that they will be staging a tribute to David Bowie at some point during the ceremony.

Last year it was announced that the 2016 Brit Award winners will be handed a trophy designed by artist Pam Hogg. Hogg follows in the footsteps of Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin in designing a Brits trophy.

Singer-songwriter Jack Garratt will pick up the Brits Critics’ Choice Award at the event.

Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose’ world tour arrives in the UK in October 2016 while Coldplay will play a series of stadium shows in the summer. Chris Martin and his band will also play the NFL Super Bowl 2016 on February 7.
