Rumours The Weeknd’s new album features a duet with Lana Del Rey dismissed by spokesperson

New record 'Beauty Behind The Madness' is due for release in August

Rumours that Lana Del Rey will feature on The Weeknd‘s upcoming new album, ‘Beauty Behind The Madness’ have been denied by a spokesperson for the singer.

The Canadian R&B singer, real name Abel Tesfaye, is scheduled to release his forthcoming third album on August 28, following on from 2013’s ‘Kiss Land’ and his ‘Trilogy’ mixtape compilation LP.

Three singles from the record (‘Often’, ‘The Hills’ and ‘Can’t Feel My Face’) have all certified platinum prior to the album’s release. Amazon Germany published what was rumoured to be the album’s full track listing earlier today, including the information that Lana Del Rey features on a song titled ‘Prisoner’.

However, a spokesperson for The Weeknd confirmed to NME that the tracklist for the album remains unconfirmed and that the only songs guaranteed to be on the record are singles ‘Can’t Feel My Face’, ‘Often’ and ‘The Hills’.

Last month (July 21), The Weeknd revealed new song ‘Mood Music 2’ during an intimate gig on Essex’s Osea Island. His only UK show of 2015, the intimate and exclusive gathering was made up of 200 competition winners and around 200 industry, staff and media guests. Watch footage from the show here.

Meanwhile, Lana Del Rey recently unveiled her new single ‘Honeymoon’. The singer will release her album of the same name in September.
