R&B star to play massive show at London's O2 Arena
The Weeknd has announced a string of UK tour dates for 2013.
The R&B singer will now play three dates in November, in addition to his previously announced dates in March. It is likely the dates will be in support of new material, which he teased the prospect of back in January by posting a picture a picture of his computer desktop, which featured a folder named ‘2013 untitled album’. He then followed it up with a tweet, writing: “If you thought my shit knocked before… 2013.”
The Weeknd will play:
Manchester Ritz (March 20)
Glasgow, ABC (22)
Birmingham HMV Institute (22)
London Electric Ballroom (24-27)
Birmingham Nia (November 22)
Manchester O2 Apollo (23)
London O2 Arena (26)
Earlier this month, (February 13), The Weeknd unveiled a revealing new video for his track ‘Twenty Eight’, which appears as one of the bonus tracks on last year’s ‘Trilogy’ compilation – scroll down to watch it. The clip sees the R&B singer being interviewed by a white-haired man before a spell watching pole dancers gyrate on stage through a one-way mirror.
