Jack White selling Detroit home-cum-studio

Everyone can take an online tour

Jack White‘s Detroit home-cum-studio is up for sale, and it even has its own website complete with a virtual tour.

The early 20th century mansion is every bit as Jack White as it gets, with it’s dramatic grand staircase, oak wood panels and red and white colour schemes.

The dining room features original hand-painted wallpaper installed in 1914, and Jack himself even hand-painted the master bedroom.

The house was also home to White‘s Third Man studios, where he recorded the band’s last album, 2005’s ‘Get Behind Me Satan’, in just two weeks.

The website 1731seminole.com describes the large secret garden style courtyard as ‘giving one the feeling of an English country estate’. No doubt White lorded it up here in his top hat and tails.

The historic house can be yours for just under $1m.

White, who plays The Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds festivals this weekend (Aug 25-27) with The Raconteurs, recently relocated to Nashville.
