ELECTRIC SIX’s ‘DANGER! HIGH VOLTAGE’ – which features JACK WHITE – has finally been given a release date.
White sings backing vocals on the song, which was originally set for release through XL in late October, will not be released on January 6 via XL. Additional tracks on the single are ‘I Lost Control (Of My Rock & Roll)’ and ‘Remote Control (Me)’.
The song was an underground hit for the band last year, picking up favourable mentions from amongst others Jarvis Cocker.
Electric Six, signed to XL Recordings earlier this year, re-recorded the single, inviting their long-time friend and Motor City associate White into the studio to add his touches.
The band, formerly called The Wildbunch, have also completed work on their debut album. It was recorded in the Ghetto Studios in Detroit, though will not see release before next year.
