White Stripes will be appearing onstage at this year’s GRAMMY AWARDS whether they win in any of their four nominated categories or not.
Jack and Meg have been announced, alongside Christina Aguilera and Evanescence, as the first acts to confirm they will perform live at the awards, reports MTV.
Taking place on February 8 at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, the awards are the highest accolade in the American music industry.
Already the recipient of a number of gongs including NME’s album of 2003, ‘Elephant’ is up against Missy Elliott’s ‘Under Construction’, White Stripes’s ‘Fallen’, OutKast ’s ‘Speakerboxx’/’The Love Below’ and Evanescence’s ‘Justified’ for Album Of The Year.

Their single ‘Seven Nation Army’ is nominated for Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Vocal Group and Best Rock Song.
