'Blue Orchid' is out before Glastonbury...

White Stripes new single will be called ’BLUE ORCHID’.

Details of the track, the first to be lifted from their as-yet-untited new album, were leaked and then removed from the band’s UK record label website last night (April 6).

Although a release date is currently unconfirmed, the song will come out prior to the band’s appearance at this summer’s Glastonbury Festival (June 24).

The date is part of a world tour which is due to start in South America in May.

The new album was recorded at Jack White’s home in the space of two weeks.
