And we've got a little preview for you here...

NME.COM brings you another White Stripes first: exclusive stills from the band’s new video to the forthcoming single ‘7 NATION ARMY’ from their new album ‘ELEPHANT’.

These pictures are released on the week the band sailed to the top of the UK album charts, selling just short of 65,000 copies of the new album .

The four-minute clip sees a highly stylised White Stripes performing the track in one ever decreasing shot. The video borrows from aspects of ’60s classic movie ‘Jason And The Argonauts’ where special effects pioneer Ray Harryhausen brought an army of skeletons to life.

While Jason has to beat the undead on his way to seize the golden fleece in the sci-fi classic, this time the skeletons are working for a devilish Jack White.

The video also contains nods to Queen‘s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and, in one shot, to occult novelist and figurehead Aleister Crowley. ‘7 Nation Army’ is released on April 21.

Meanwhile, [a][/a] announced last week they would play a show in New York later this month, supported by one of their heroines, Loretta Lynn. Tickets for the Hammerstein Ballroom show (April 19) sold out in seven minutes.
