Jack White’s wife Karen Elson announces debut solo album tracklisting and release details

Jack White‘s wife Karen Elson has confirmed the release details of her debut solo album.

Called ‘The Ghost Who Walks’, the record is out on May 24. As well as producing and playing drums on it, the record is being released on White‘s Third Man label.

Elson is said to have written much of the record from inside a closet in her and White‘s Nashville bedroom.


Alongside White, her studio band consisted of The Dead Weather‘s Jack Lawrence on bass, My Morning Jacket‘s Carl Broemel on pedal steel, Rachelle Garniez on accordion and vocals and her brother-in-law Jackson Smith, son of Patti, on guitar.

Elson made her live debut at Manhattan‘s Le Poisson Rouge on Monday (March 22), though White did not appear at the show.
