The legendary rockers also plan another US tour for the summer...

Who have confirmed details of two ‘club’ dates to warm up for their shows at the ROYAL ALBERT HALL, while PETE TOWNSHEND has revealed he is working on a novel.

The group recently confirmed they would play two shows at the London Royal Albert Hall (February 7-8) as part of a week of charity shows that will also feature Oasis and Paul Weller.

To precede the dates, the group will play two nights at the 2,000 capacity Portsmouth Guildhall on January 27-28. Tickets for the all seated show are priced £32.50 and available from the venue box office tomorrow.

A third ‘warm-up’, possibly in a different venue, is also likely to be announced shortly.

Guitarist Pete Townshend has also revealed that the group plan to return to the US in the summer for a string of dates. Writing on his official website, www.petetownshend.co.uk, said he was also planning to branch out and write a book.

He commented: “A US tour in three legs is also emerging in sketch-form from the desk of Who manager Bill Curbishley – probably starting in LA in June and ending in Canada in August. It could all change though.

“The rest of the year – in between Who engagements and some experimental music projects – I am writing a novel.”
