PETE TOWNSHEND has said he wants THE WHO to play live again in 2001.
At the end of last year, The Who played a massive charity show at the London Royal Albert Hall, following a tour which took in north America and the UK. It was anticipated that following the date, the band would take some time out to persue other projects.
However, speaking on his official website, [url=]www.petetownshend.com, Townshend said he plans to take the band out to perform some shows in Europe “later this year” – as long as it fits in to the schedules of the other members of the band.
Townshend has also spent recent days working on material for the forthcoming ‘Quadrophenia’ musical, which is due to start in London’s West End later in the year.
