Drummer Sean Payne is rushed to hospital...

The Zutons have been forced to cancel the last two dates of their sold-out tour after drummer SEAN PAYNE was rushed to hospital last night (May 6).

Payne’s fingers were broken when a flight case was dropped on his hand at last night’s gig at the Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms.

The band are awaiting X-ray results to determine how long the sticksman will be out of action.

The band tried to find a replacement drummer for the penultimate shows, but unfortunately to no avail.

Tonight’s gig at the London ULU will also be cancelled.

The dates will be rescheduled as soon as possible, and all ticket for the shows remain valid.

Support act The Dead 60’s will now support Supergrass at Oxford New Theatre (May 7) and London Kentish Town Forum (8).
