THERAPY?, THE UNDERTONES, GAVIN FRIDAY, THE CHIEFTANS and PAUL BRADY are amongst the acts confirmed to perform at a live televised show on May 29 in Dublin’s Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.
Part of the BBC Music Live series, the Hot Press Uncovered show will feature artists who have been cover stars on Irish music magazine Hot Press playing the tunes of others who have had the same honour.
Organisers have said the event is a celebration of 30 years of Irish music and have promised more big names to follow. Speculation is rife that U2, The Corrs and Sinead O’Connor will be amongst them.
Admission to the event will be by invitation only, although members of the public will have the chance to enter ticket competitions.
The show will air on the BBC between 8-10pm. Check local UK listing guides for details.
