Tim Burgess and Bands F.C. design Salford City v Aldershot Town match programme

The Charlatans frontman is also in charge of Saturday's pre-match tunes

Bands F.C have collaborated with Tim Burgess on the match programme for Saturday’s game between Salford City and Aldershot Town. Check out the artwork of the programme below.

The designers have gained huge popularity online recently after merging well-known bands with football club badges. Their official Twitter account boasts almost 45,000 followers.

One of Bands F.C’s unique creations blends Salford City’s badge with a famous Salfordian musician, Tim Burgess of The Charlatans.

It has now been announced that the designs will be available to buy as pin badges at this Saturday’s game. Bands F.C have also created the official programme for the upcoming Peninsula Stadium fixture.

All proceeds from the merch will be donated to Foundation 92 – an independent charity that focuses on helping people to improve their lives through sport.

What’s more, Tim Burgess has created his own pre-match playlist and will be taking part in an exclusive interview with co-owner Gary Neville.

Nick Fraser of Bands F.C says: “Bands F.C. has been such a brilliant story so far – we’re the shirt sponsors of a couple of community teams and we even got to work with Pulp on some shirts raising money for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

“Salford City and Tim Burgess have both been supportive from the start so we’re excited to be working with them both on Saturday.”

Earlier this year, Tim Burgess released a special LP for Record Store Day. ‘As I Was Now’ was recorded in 2008, and featured guest appearances from members of The Horrors, Primal Scream and Klaxons.
