Tinie Tempah: ‘I’ve asked Chris Martin and Gary Barlow to be on my next album’

Brit-winning rapper drops dream list of duets for album number two

Tinie Tempah has revealed he wants Chris Martin and Gary Barlow on his next album.

The Brit-winning rapper from Plumstead has been talking to “loads of people” about working on the follow-up to Mercury-nominated debut ‘Disc-Overy’.

He said: “I want to work with people I’m a huge fan of and respect. It doesn’t matter who they are. The main thing is it works with the track and sounds good.”

He added:

Chris Martin, Gary Barlow, Big Sean, Dizzee Rascal, The Script, Shingai from The Noisettes are all people I’ve spoken to face to face and it’s looking really good.

In an interview with the Daily Star, he said: “I’m making all the executive decisions at the mom­ent so keep your eyes peeled.”

Tinie begins his first UK arena tour in Liverpool on October 31, and plans to release his second album, produced by Labrinth, in April.

“We’re really concentrating on not just recreating the first album, but coming up with something fresh and exciting.”
