Tis the season! Dave Grohl necks beer with fan dressed as Santa at Foo Fighters show

“Look at him, you ain’t gettin’ down the chimney tonight.”

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has proved that he’s full of festive spirit, after necking beer with a fan dressed as Santa at a recent show.

The rock icons were performing at the Intersect Las Vegas festival on Saturday night, when Grohl invited the fan to share a festive brew on stage.

Teasing the fan as he made his way up to the stage, Grohl joked: “Look at him, you ain’t gettin’ down the chimney tonight.”

Footage posted on social media then shows Grohl and the would-be St Nick downing a can of beer, much to the delight of the Vegas crowd.

After finishing the beer, Grohl quipped: “Good thing that was a light beer,” as he wiped his face with Santa’s hat. He then dedicated the next song to the festive fan before heading straight into ‘Big Me.’

Meanwhile, it’s thought that the Foos are busy at work on the follow-up to 2017’s ‘Concrete & Gold’, with Grohl promising that it will be “fucking weird”.

Foos drummer Taylor Hawkins has also teased the band’s plans for 2020, as they gear up for their 25th anniversary.

“There’s a lot of talk. And I think Dave is already mapping out what he wants the next record to be, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something coming down the pipe,” he said.

He added: “I can’t 100 per cent spell it out for you for sure, because I’m always the last to know and I don’t want to give it away.
