The former Blink 182 man says viewers will get a feeling of 'wow, I get it now'
Tom DeLonge will appear in and serve as executive producer for a new show on TV channel HISTORY called Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation, which aims to “expose new evidence on UFOs”.
The series follows the revelation in 2017 by the New York Times that the Pentagon was running a mysterious investigation into potential extraterrestrial attacks under the name ‘Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program’ (AATIP).
The six-part series features an interview by DeLonge with former military intelligence official and Special Agent In- Charge of AATIP, Luis Elizondo.
DeLonge is a noted enthusiast when it comes to space and the extraterrestrial, and is the founder of company ‘To The Stars Academy Of Arts And Sciences’ – an organisation dedicated to the study of alien life.
Elizondo joined the company in 2017, following his departure from the government and a key role in the New York Times revelations. You can watch a promotional trailer for the Academy below.
“With this show, the real conversation can finally begin,” said DeLonge of the new series. “I’m thankful to HISTORY for giving the To The Stars Academy team of world-class scientists, engineers and intelligence experts the opportunity to tell the story in a comprehensive and compelling way.
“I think everyone that watches the show will walk away with questions answered and a feeling of, “wow, I get it now.””
Eli Lehrer, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming at HISTORY added: “This is not a UFO hunting show, but a series that will hopefully provoke a cultural conversation about unexplained phenomena and allow our viewers to ultimately draw their own conclusions.
“Tom’s curiosity and passion for this subject matter, combined with his team, are the perfect partners to deliver this breakthrough series.”
Since leaving Blink 182 over three-and-a-half years ago, DeLonge has studied alien life extensively and has even picked up an award from UFO website and YouTube channel, Open Minds TV.
