Following a summer of festival appearances, Grennan has spoken of his alcohol-fuelled night with Liam Gallagher after the pair performed at Sziget.
“He wanted to meet me, so he asked for me to come to his dressing room,” he recalled in an interview with Evening Standard. “I had a Guinness with him, and then I said I wanted to go back to my hotel.
“He was like, ‘What you on about mate? Fucking you’re with me!’ So we jumped into his blacked-out Mercedes and went back to his hotel and were in his penthouse.”
Describing how they bonded over music, Grennan added: “We got stuck in and were just chatting about Oasis, my record … we had a lot of fun. I would love to write with him — so maybe that is something we can do in the future.”
Grennan posted a snap of himself with the ‘Wall of Glass’ singer in August. “A night I won’t forget,” he said of their evening in Budapest. See the Instagram post below.
At the same event, Gallagher reportedly made peace with Alex Turner over a pint after criticising the musician’s ‘American’ accent.
Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher is scheduled to perform an intimate show at London’s Union Chapel on December 13. The gig is in aid of the homeless charity, Shelter.
