First single from album of Tom Jones duets debuts on Radio 1...

THE CARDIGANS and Tom Jones‘ version of ‘Burning Down The House’ – originally by Talking Heads – was previewed yesterday on Radio 1, the first track to be taken from ‘Reload’ the album of duets set for release in September.

The Cardigans also played their new single ‘Hanging Around’ last week at the launch of the NikeTown supermarket in London; filmed for Channel 4’s Sunday kid’s show T4, it was their first UK appearance since their gig at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this year.

The Cardigans next appearance is at V99 at Staffordshire (August 21) and Chelmsford (22) and then Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall on August 25, one of the dates cancelled when Nina Persson was ordered by her doctor to rest her voice.
