Tom Petty announces only 2017 European show at British Summer Time Hyde Park

With Stevie Nicks and The Lumineers

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers have announced their only European tour date of 2017 with a huge show at London’s Hyde Park as part of British Summer Time. Full dates and ticket details are below.

Celebrating their 40th anniversary and marking only their second UK visit in 18 years, Petty and co will be joined by a stellar line-up of support – featuring Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks and The Lumineers.

Nicks herself was first inspired to get into music after hearing the work of Tom Petty.

“In 1976, I’d been in Fleetwood Mac for about a year when I heard Tom Petty’s debut,” she told Rolling Stone in 2010, “I became such a fan that if I hadn’t been in a band myself, I would have joined that one.”

Petty’s 40th anniversary tour will span across the globe – after he announced the first batch of huge shows across the US on Jimmy Fallon last month. Meanwhile, Foo Fighters will come together to honour Petty at a special show in February.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers will be performing at Barclaycard British Summer Time in London’s Hyde Park on Sunday 9 July with Stevie Nicks and The Lumineers. Tickets are on general sale from 9am on Friday 16 December.

He joins previously-announced headliners Justin Bieber, Phil Collins, Green Day and Kings Of Leon.
