Toploader are to play the Royal Albert Hall as part of a mammoth UK tour spanning twenty three cities in fifty three days.
Starting with a support to Ocean Colour Scene at the London Astoria show on March 18, the band embark on a headline UK tour, before finally supporting Paul Weller on a handful of dates in May.
The tour calls at London Astoria (with OCS) (March 18), Brighton Pressure Point (28), Colchester Arts Centre (29), Wolverhampton Civic Hall (30), Bradford Esquires (31), Liverpool Lomax (April 1), Leeds Josephs Well (3), Middlesborough Cornerhouse (4), Edinburgh Venue (5), Aberdeen Glow 303 (6), Glasgow King Tuts (7), Sheffield Leadmill (8), Manchester Roadhouse (10), Leicester Princess Charlotte (11), Exeter Cavern (12), Bristol Fleece and Firkin (13), Gloucester Arts Centre (14), Oxford Zodiac (15), Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms (17), London Dingwalls (18) and Eastbourne Winter Gardens (20). The band then support Paul Weller at London Albert Hall (May 3), Braintree Arena (17), Bournmouth International Centre (18) and Cardiff Arena (19).
A band spokesperson told nme.com:”This is the first major tour for Toploader and I think they are all pretty nervous. The band are looking forward to the Albert Hall date with Paul Weller because they’re big fans. The Eastbourne show will be special too because it’s their home town”.
To coincide with the tour, Toploader release a new single ‘Achilles Heel’ on April 24, followed by an album ‘Onka’s Big Moka’ though S2 on May 8.
