Tori Amos has confirmed details of new album ‘Unrepentant Geraldines’ and released the artwork, which can be seen above.
‘Unrepentant Geraldines’ will be released on May 12 and sees Amos return to her roots after a series of more classically-inspired releases over the last four years.
Speaking about the album cover, which sees Amos with paintbrush in hand, Amos tells Rolling Stone: “I’ve always been inspired by visual artists of all mediums because, as with music, art is not a job you can go to and leave from, but it is something that defines who and what you are. Visual artists shake up our brains and force us to look at everything, from objects we don’t normally think twice about to people we might not have cared about.”
To coincide with the release of ‘Unrepentant Geraldines’, Tori Amos will embark on a series of live shows in the UK, including a headline appearance at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Starting in Glasgow O2 Academy on May 10, Amos will then visit Manchester, Birmingham and Nottingham before the Royal Albert Hall date on May 15.
