Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs finally returns with new single ‘Leave A Light On’

He's back after four years

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs has returned with his first new single in four years. Check out ‘Leave A Light On’ below.

Orlando Higginbottom has finally released the single which was previously previewed on SoundCloud for a few months back in March. Now, the track is finally available to stream after being unveiled as the Hottest Record In The World by Annie Mac on her BBC Radio 1 show. Check it out below.

“All my time has been spent making music and thinking about making music,” he told Annie Mac. “But I couldn’t see a way for it to be fun. Both personally, and with regards to the state of the industry itself. It took me a while to find a space to work in. I moved from Oxford to London, but London was fruitless. I then moved to LA but it took about six months before I found a permanent spot and things then started to fall into place.”

He added:  “With Leave A Light on, I had to start releasing music or I would have broken. Now I feel like there are no rules, and I’m strong enough to do things my way and fail gloriously.”

In 2012, NME previously named Higginbottom’s debut album ‘Trouble’ a ‘collection of lovelorn bangers’, and he has not disappointed with this follow up. Written and performed solely by the Oxford-born artist, (except the drums) Higginbottom showcases his array of talents, gracing us with a minimal yet soulful ballad.

Higginbottom is set to DJ in LA, New York, Toronto and London later this year, visit here for details.
