TRAVIS GO BUSKING

The band amaze onlookers in Glasgow with a set in the street…

[url=]TRAVIS surprised fans when they started busking in GLASGOW today (October 4).

The four piece turned up for an impromptu gig at Sauchiehall Street in conjunction with The Big Issue as a warm up for their Barrowlands concert tonight.

Singer Fran Healy told Scotland Today: “We’re putting out a new record at the moment. It’s got all the singles that we’ve ever put out and we decided to sort of celebrate it we would go back to smaller venues and do really small things and we thought; we’ll do really small things, why don’t we go even smaller and go right back to busking like we did before we got a record deal?

“And then we thought because we’ve always worked with The Big Issue we’d sort of do it in line with them. They didn’t even know we were doing it so they’re well chuffed. But it’s been magic. We did it yesterday in Newcastle, that was quite fun.”

In addition to the album, the band are also planning a DVD, featuring all of the band’s videos, live performances, a documentary, and behind the scenes footage.

The remainder of the tour will call at:
