SCOTLAND’s CONCERT FOR TSUNAMI RELIEF featuring Franz Ferdinand has sold out in record time.

The February 19 show is now officially the fastest selling Scottish benefit gig ever after all the tickets were snapped-up in less than 36 hours.

Around 10,000 people will see the show at Glasgow’s SECC, raising £300,000 so far for the Disasters Emergency Committee Tsunami Earthquake Appeal.

“The response from the Scottish public to the event has been phenomenal,” said organiser Mark Mackie of Regular Music. “Our sights are now set on Saturday the 19th, and playing our part in what will be a memorable night at the SECC.”

Bands playing the event include Belle And Sebastian, Franz Ferdinand, Idlewild, Mull Historical Society, Kevin McDermott, Slam, Mogwai, Eddi Reader, [/a], [a], a href=”https://www.nme.com/artists/87564.htm”>Texas, The Trashcan Sinatras and Travis.
