According to a report in the local Straits Times newspaper, the bands have decided to play the double headline show at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on July 29 after the pair were originally scheduled to play in the area on consecutive nights.
Speaking of the event, concert promoter Michael Roche said: “This arrangement would not be repeated anywhere else.
“The two bands are song-based, share similar mass-appeal and target the same demographics. You can imagine anyone from a 12-year-old to a 60-year-old listening to both Coldplay and Travis. They remind me of 70s and 80s British bands whose songs you can instantly remember after a few spins. They make albums full of quiet anthems and which are markers of time.”
It is unclear which band will play first, but both are likely to play an hour-long set each.
