TRAVIS surprised children at FRAN HEALY’s former school by performing an acoustic set in their assembly hall this afternoon (March 20), NME.COM can exclusively reveal.
The Scottish group turned up unannounced to the Holyrood High
School in Cathcart, Glasgow.
A school assembly was called for the Fifth and
Sixth years, and the headteacher introduced the group to the stage, where they performed acoustic performances of songs including ‘Sing’, ‘Side’, ‘Why Does It Always Rain On Me?’ and ‘Flowers In The Window’.
The stage where they played was where Healy made his first ever musical performance in 1989, when he was in the Fifth year of the school.
The band release a new single, ‘Flowers In The Window’, on March 25.
