Blink 182’s Travis Barker has given an update about his blood clots

The band previously cancelled their shows

Blink 182 cancelled two shows this weekend following Travis Barker’s recovery from blood clots in his arms.

Now the drummer has shared a letter from his doctor on his Instagram story, which states that he is advised not to perform until after July 1.

He is being treated wth antibiotics, with the letter adding that he will be monitored for the next few weeks to determine whether he can return to the stage.

After sharing the letter, Barker wrote: “My life and health are my priority right now. I’ll be back as soon as I can be.” See his Instagram stories below.

The band have yet to comment whether they will continue the rest of the June residency dates without Barker.

Speaking of cancelling tonight and tomorrow night’s shows (June 15 and 16), the band said: “Friends, Travis Barker is suffering from blood clots in both arms and unfortunately cannot perform until cleared to do so by his medical team.

“The situation is currently being closely monitored. Due to this situation it is with great regret that the blink-182 ‘Kings of the Weekend’ Las Vegas residency dates this weekend must be rescheduled.”

Barker added: “Drumming is my life and It kills that i can’t perform for you guys this weekend. I hope to be back as soon as I can (sic).”

They’ve promised the rescheduled dates will be up on their website soon and anyone who cannot make the new dates will receive a full refund.
