Travis barker cleared by doctors to perform after suffering blood clots

Blink 182 previously cancelled their Las Vegas residency

Travis Barker has been medically cleared to perform after treatment for blood clots in both his arms earlier this summer.

Blink 182 cancelled their Las Vegas residency when news broke of Barker’s condition. “Friends, Travis Barker is suffering from blood clots in both arms and unfortunately cannot perform until cleared to do so by his medical team. The situation is currently being closely monitored,” the band wrote.

Barker added: “My life and health are my priority right now. I’ll be back as soon as I can be.” The drummer began experiencing nerve damage and blood clots in the wake an accident in Julu, when a bus collided with his SUV.

He is reportedly suing the bus driver and the bus company over the incident, while his complaint also targets a Santa Monica medical centre. Barker says he developed a staph infection as a result of employees using a dirty needle while treating his injuries from the accident.

Now, after months of monitoring, doctors have cleared the drummer to perform again. Meanwhile, Barker sparked rumours that Tom Delonge could be rejoining Blink 182 after sending out a cryptic tweet.

Barker shared a photo of DeLonge’s face alongside the caption “Where Are Youuuuu” – a lyric taken directly from 2004’s ‘I Miss You’.

DeLonge then responded to the tweet with the lyric “I am the voice inside your yeeeeaaaad”, sparking speculation that he could return once more after leaving the band in 2015.

However, it’s now claimed that this shouldn’t be taken as potential evidence of a reunion – it’s more a reflection of DeLonge and Barker’s enduring friendship. According to TMZ, “Travis and Tom were just trolling each other, and they don’t wanna mislead their fans, who were all just unsuspecting victims for a few hours”.
