Travis Scott is heading for the Ivy League and applying to Harvard

From Astroworld to the Ivy League

Travis Scott is applying to Harvard, the rapper has told fans.

In a 2017 interview, the star had previously suggested he would take a break from music after his third album and go to architecture school at the Ivy League college. “Me and my friend Dozie are supposed to go to Harvard, go to architecture school at Harvard,” he said.

With his third album, ‘Astroworld’, released and at the top of the US charts, Scott has now confirmed he is ready to apply to the prestigious school.

He also posted a message of gratitude to his fans, which could have been in response to ‘Astroworld’ returning to the top of the charts, as well as track ‘Sicko Mode’ achieving the same feat in the US singles chart. “NAW LAFLAME FANS,” he wrote. “YALLLL ARE AMAZING AND AND ULTRA. ITS NOTHING I LOVE MORE THAN U GUYS. THANK U SO MUCHHHHHHHHHH FOR UR SUPPORT. IM NOTHING WITHOUT YOU !!!”

Yesterday (December 2), Scott visited the college to teach a masterclass on creativity. Fans shared footage of the rapper visiting one of the campus’ libraries beforehand as well as of him on stage during the class.

The star has recently been building a rollercoaster inside the arenas on his ‘Astroworld’ tour. Motley Crüe’s Tommy Lee later claimed Scott had copied the design from one of his 2011 tours. “Hey @trvisXX lawyer up!” the drummer tweeted last week (November 29), as he accused the rapper of “just straight ripping off my shit.”
