Travis Scott, Kanye West and Lil Uzi Vert drop new single ‘Watch’

"Wanna know how pain feels? I got off my main pills"

Travis Scott has teamed up with Kanye West and Lil Uzi Vert on new single ‘Watch’, after he previously teased the collaboration online.

The track was released on Spotify last night, and it’s the very same collaboration that Kanye told fans to expect on Twitter last week.

‘Watch’ also seems to reflect some of the hot topics that Kanye has been discussing – with his verse reflecting on his 2017 battle with opioid addiction, as well as his return from the ‘sunken place’.

“Wanna know how pain feels? I got off my main pills”, he raps on the track.

“One year it’s Illuminati, next year it’s the Sunken Place”, he cryptically explains on another line.

The track’s release comes near the end of a tumultuous week that has seen Kanye facing intense scrutiny for his comments on slavery in the US.

In a divisive interview with TMZ, Kanye described slavery as “a choice”.

“When you hear about slavery for 400 years, for 400 years?! That sounds like a choice,” he argued.

“We’re mentally imprisoned.”

He later attempted to clarify his comments on Twitter, explaining: “We need to have open discussions and ideas on unsettled pain… to make myself clear. Of course I know that slaves did not get shackled and put on a boat by free will”.
