Travis Scott is planning to release a line of ‘Astroworld’ jewellery and accessories, it has been reported.
The rapper is claimed to have filed a trademark for items featuring the name of his latest album, which was released in August.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Scott could be planning to release a series of ‘Astroworld’ products, including clocks, watches, key chains, jewellery cases, and even dog chains.
Earlier this week (November 17), the rapper held the inaugural edition of his Astroworld Festival in his hometown of Houston. Post Malone, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Rae Sremmurd, Sheck Wes, Metro Boomin, and Tommy Genesis were amongst the acts that joined him at the event. It appears Scott is planning to return to the festival circuit with Astroworld in 2019 – the official website currently reads: “See you next year.”
Meanwhile, Scott has also reportedly filed a trademark for the name “S.P.A.C.E.” He is said to be planning to use the name on clothing, beauty products, non-alcoholic drinks, and on an online shop.
Last month, the ‘Sicko Mode’ star teamed up with John Mayer and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker as he performed tracks from his recent record on SNL. The performance also marked the first live airing of ‘Astrothunder’ – forming part of a medley alongside ‘Skeletons’.
NME gave ‘Astroworld’ a five-star review upon its release this summer. “This is the sound of a musician who has worked to forge an entire world, an empire, around himself,” wrote Jordan Bassett. “We can peer in, but from afar, guessing at his motives and life behind the velvet rope.”
