Trent Reznor confirms ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ soundtrack will get UK release

Mute Records will release film score outside North America, says Nine Inch Nails man

Nine Inch Nails‘ main man Trent Reznor has revealed that his soundtrack for the forthcoming film The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo will be released in the UK.

Reznor, who won an Oscar earlier this year for his score for the Facebook film The Social Network, revealed via his Twitter account that the soundtrack would be released via Mute Records.

He wrote:

I’m happy to announce that the soundtrack for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo will be released on Mute Records (outside North America).

He then posted a follow-up message which read: “Look for a lot more information on December 2.”

Reznor has teamed up with musician Atticus Ross for the soundtrack, who he worked with on the score for The Social Network. The remake is being directed by David Fincher and will star Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, and will be released in UK cinemas in December.

Reznor has previously indicated that he will return to work as Nine Inch Nails once he has completed work on the soundtrack.

The composer posted the first piece of his score for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo earlier this year. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to listen.
