Troye Sivan has shared another taster from his currently untitled second album. A gigantic anthem, new track ‘Bloom’ follows on from previous singles ‘My My My!’ and ‘The Good Side’. It comes with an animated lyric video by Jason Ebeyer.
The singer has been working on the follow-up to his 2015 debut album ‘Blue Neighbourhood’ recently. While the album is reportedly “95% done”, Troye Sivan is yet to confirm the title and release date for his second full length.

Speaking to NME earlier this year at The BRIT Awards 2018, Troye Sivan hinted that he’s taking things in a ‘lighter’ direction. He also confirmed that he’s been writing with Carly Rae Jepsen lately, “but we didn’t end up getting a song – we just hung out for the day and had a good time.”
“I think my first single ‘My My My’ is a good indicator of where things are heading,” he added. “There’s a ‘lightness’ to the album that wasn’t on the last one. People can expect to have a really good time to the album. It’s about love.”
“I’m growing all the time and I write super-personally,” the singer said. “I just feel like I’m really happy, so it’s about that.”
‘Bloom’ shows sky-high pop ambition, with a punchy, addictive chorus. “Come on baby, play me like a love song, every time it comes on,” he sings – yet another indication that his second album will be delving into more personal, loved-up territory.
Troye Sivan recently performed Sufjan Stevens‘ ‘Mystery of Love’ – which appears on the soundtrack for the Oscar-winning film Call Me By Your Name – as part of Dazeds Digital’s Texts series.
His forthcoming second album is expected to land at some point in 2018.
