Peaches Geldof: ‘I’m not hosting revived version of ‘The Tube”

Geldof's late mum Paula Yates presented the show during original 1980s run

Peaches Geldof has denied reports that she’s set to follow in her mother Paula Yates‘ footsteps by hosting The Tube.

The Sun has claimed that Geldof is set to front a revived version of the music show, which ran for five years in the 1980s.

However, writing on her Twitter page,, Bob Geldof‘s daughter said the report was inaccurate.

“Just to clarify – I’m not presenting on the new series of The Tube, if there’s going to even be one. It’s an internet rumour and isn’t true,” she wrote.

The wild child is currently hosting ITV 2 show OMG! With Peaches Geldof, which has been hit by poor ratings and panned by critics.

Yates died of an accidental heroin overdose in 2000.

The programme was revived as internet radio show in 2006, when it was hosted by Blur man Alex James, late Factory Records boss Tony Wilson and Konnie Huq.
