'A Bright Day' takes place in unusual venues...

TURIN BRAKES, [a][/a] and SHACK will be performing at the first ever ‘A BRIGHT DAY’ festival in LIVERPOOL on November 1.

The event is totally free and will take place at unusual venues around the city with the ‘Bright Gig’ staged in Liverpool’s Dock Road Sugar Silo in front of 3500 people.

The city’s FACT centre will play 24-hours of back-to-back music films including ‘Performance’, ‘Quadrophenia’ and ‘Almost Famous’, as well as afternoon of seminars hosted by ex-Factory Records boss Tony Wilson and featuring rock photographer Gered Mankowitz and XL Recordings video commissioner Phil Lee.

‘Bright Club’ at Chibuku Shake Shake at Masque will include sets from headliners Slam, DJ Pierre, Cash Money and DJ Yoda while ‘Bright Pop’ at The Olympia Theatre will featureAtomic Kitten, Ultrabeat and Flip N Phil.
