TV On The Radio debut new song ‘Could You’ live

The band premiered the track in Santa Barbara on Friday night (October 17)

TV On The Radio have played a new track live at a recent show in California.

The band performed in Santa Barbara on Friday night (October 17), premiering an unheard song called ‘Could You’. Listen to a live recording of that track now below.

The Santa Barbara performance follows on from the band’s recent announcement of a one-off London show later this month. The band will launch new album ‘Seeds’ at Oslo in Hackney on October 28.

Set for release on November 17, the LP will be the band’s fifth studio album and their first since 2011’s ‘Nine Types Of Light’. It’ll will also be the New York group’s first album since the death of bass player Gerard Smith, who was diagnosed with lung cancer shortly after finishing work on ‘Nine Types Of Light’.

Last month saw the band reveal the video for new single ‘Happy Idiot’, starring Karen Gillan plus Paul ‘Pee-wee Herman’ Reubens as a racing driver suffering a mental breakdown.

In April 2013, TV On The Radio frontman Tunde Adebimpe confirmed the band had returned to the studio and were working on new material. They went on to unveil new track ‘Mercy’ that July.
